Dr. John Wang

Dr. John Wang is a board-certified and fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who leads Solon Eye Care and Surgery, providing premier eye care for the entire family. He offers comprehensive eye exams, medical treatments, and surgical interventions for a wide range of vision conditions. Dr. Wang is dedicated to improving the vision and overall eye health of his patients, using the latest advancements in technology and personalized treatment plans.

Dr. Wang completed his undergraduate studies at Emory University, where he earned dual degrees in biology and applied mathematics. He then obtained his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and completed his ophthalmology residency at the same institution. Following residency, he pursued a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at the nationally-recognized Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, training under world-renowned pediatric eye surgeon Dr. Faruk Örge. This advanced training allows him to care for patients of all ages, from children to adults.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and the Cleveland Ophthalmological Society. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Wang enjoys spending time with his family and raising his three children. He is very involved in serving his local church and likes to play board games and jam on his acoustic guitar in his free time.
