Dr. Daniel Pierre

Dr. Daniel J. Pierre is a cataract surgeon and strabismus specialist serving his native Greater Cleveland community at the Cleveland Eye Clinic. He is known for his integrity, natural surgical talent, attention to detail, and perfectionistic pursuit of great results, with access to cutting-edge technology in the field. Patients appreciate his jovial demeanor, sincerity, transparency, and knack for educating them about their individual conditions to help decide on the best treatment. He handles a wide variety of eye conditions and enjoys teaching, so a student may observe during your visit, though he performs all his own surgery.

In addition to basic cataract surgery, he offers refractive upgrades to cataract surgery along with minimally invasive glaucoma surgery or laser. He has a well-developed pediatric and adult strabismus practice for patients with misaligned eyes or double vision and can perform noncosmetic eyelid surgery for visually-significant conditions. He is also very experienced with YAG vitreolysis, a procedure not widely offered, which reduces symptoms caused by floaters.

In his spare time, he and his wife, Hannah, are busy raising their three children and many pets. He is a dedicated deacon and teacher at his church in North Olmsted and serves on the board at his children's school.
