About Me
Dr. Joanna L. Sarracino is a board-certified ophthalmologist with subspecialty fellowship training in glaucoma diagnosis, lasers, and microsurgery. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Stanford University Medical Center and a glaucoma fellowship at the prestigious Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. Dr. Sarracino has served as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and an assistant Clinical professor at Stanford University, and she was in private practice in Palo Alto, California for five years before returning to the East coast.
Her practice incorporates the latest diagnostic and treatment modalities, including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) and Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT). Dr. Sarracino has contributed to research in glaucoma surgery and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. She is now practicing in Connecticut, where she provides comprehensive glaucoma care.
