Dr. Jennine Cabanellas

Dr. Jennine Cabanellas is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist with over 25 years of experience in ophthalmic care. She is fellowship-trained and specializes in the medical and laser management of a wide range of eye conditions, known for her thoroughness, clear communication, and dedication to improving her patients' vision and quality of life. Dr. Cabanellas emphasizes personalized care, ensuring that patients understand every step of their diagnosis and treatment journey.

An Ivy League-trained physician, Dr. Cabanellas completed her medical education at Washington University School of Medicine and her ophthalmology residency at Columbia University. She further honed her skills with a fellowship in LASIK and refractive surgery. Dr. Cabanellas is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and stays at the forefront of advances in eye care. She has also participated in medical missions, performing cataract surgeries in underserved communities.

Originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dr. Cabanellas has been part of the South Florida community since 2001. She is now welcoming patients at Joshi Eye Institute, where she brings a wealth of clinical expertise and a compassionate approach to patient care.
