About Me

Dr. Jennifer Lynne Barger is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist who specializes in cornea and cataract care. She enjoys helping people reach their visual goals and maintain their vision throughout their lives, partnering with adults to set realistic goals and explain options in clear language.

She specializes in cataracts, Fuchs' dystrophy, corneal scars, corneal ectasia, conjunctival and corneal tumors, epithelial basement membrane dystrophy, Salzmann's nodular degeneration, blepharitis, and dry eye syndrome. Her clinical interests include cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, LASIK surgery, and comprehensive ophthalmic care.

Dr. Barger received her medical degree at New York University, where she completed an internship in internal medicine and residency in ophthalmology. She also completed subspecialty fellowship training in corneal and external diseases at Wake Forest University. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling in her free time.
