Dr. Jennifer Michelson

Dr. Jennifer Michelson is a refractive cataract and lens implant surgeon and comprehensive ophthalmologist at Alabama Eye & Cataract Center, P.C., located at UAB Highlands in Birmingham, Alabama, on the campus of the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB) Medical Center.

She provides adult patients with routine eye exams and evaluates and manages chronic and acute eye diseases, including cataracts and glaucoma. Dr. Michelson performs cataract surgery with multifocal lens implants to correct vision at near, computer, and distance ranges without glasses. She also implants intraocular lenses to correct astigmatism and provides medical, laser, and surgical treatments for glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), dry eyes, and eye allergies.

Dr. Michelson is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
