About Me
Dr. Jared Duncan is a board-certified, fellowship-trained pediatric ophthalmologist dedicated to providing expert eye care for children and adults. Prior to joining Lexington Eye Associates, he successfully ran a private practice for seven years in Annapolis, Maryland. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus. His practice encompasses the medical and surgical management of various pediatric eye conditions, including refractive errors, lazy eye (amblyopia), crossed eyes (strabismus), uveitis, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmological issues, retinopathy of prematurity, tear duct blockages, and cataracts. He also specializes in treating adults who experience double vision or misaligned eyes.
Dr. Duncan completed a highly competitive two-year fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the prestigious Duke Eye Center in Durham, North Carolina. His ophthalmology residency was at Nassau University Medical Center on Long Island, New York, where he earned the role of Chief Resident in his final year. He earned his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and his undergraduate degree from Colgate University.
Originally moving to Massachusetts with his family, Dr. Duncan is married with three children and enjoys running, hiking, basketball, and reading history. He is enthusiastic about upholding the high standard of pediatric ophthalmology care at Lexington Eye Associates and looks forward to serving the community.
