About Me
Dr. Ike Ezon is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retina specialist at Jersey Shore Retina Consultants. He brings expertise in small-gauge sutureless microsurgery and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. His practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of retinal conditions, providing both in-office procedures and surgical care.
Dr. Ezon completed his ophthalmology residency at North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System, where he served as chief resident, followed by a two-year vitreo-retinal and uveitis fellowship at the University of California San Diego. During his fellowship, he was a research fellow at the Jacobs Retina Center and participated in numerous clinical trials for conditions such as wet and dry age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vein occlusions.
Committed to patient education and individualized care, Dr. Ezon is a former high school teacher who enjoys teaching residents, students, and patients. He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology.
