About Me
Ingrid U. Scott, MD, MPH, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in medical retina. She provides care for patients with diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, and other vitreoretinal conditions. Dr. Scott is a professor of ophthalmology and public health sciences and sees patients at the Penn State Health Eye Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Scott completed her medical degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and pursued residency and fellowship training at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, a leading center for ophthalmology. She has a strong research interest in age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, and she serves as the Director of Resident Research. Recognized for her contributions, Dr. Scott has received several honors including the Senior Achievement Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
