Dr. Gerald Cohen is a board-certified vitreoretinal physician and surgeon with emeritus status at Retina Associates. He specializes in the medical and surgical management of diseases affecting the retina and vitreous, including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal detachment, macular hole, and epiretinal membrane. Dr. Cohen earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from Louisiana State University and completed his ophthalmology residency at Tulane University, followed by a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery at Barnes Hospital.
With extensive experience, Dr. Cohen offers advanced treatments such as laser photocoagulation, vitrectomy, and intravitreal injections. He is committed to personalized care and utilizes the latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies.
