Dr. Daniel Gologorsky, MD, MBA is an ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal (retina) specialist at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, where he serves as Chief of the Division of Ophthalmology. Dr. Abdallah M. Jeroudi is a board-certified, fellowship-trained vitreoretinal specialist with Florida Retina Institute. He earned a B.A. in biochemistry from The University of Texas at Austin and completed his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Jeroudi went on to complete ophthalmology residency training at the Emory Eye Center and then advanced fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery at The Retina Institute in St. Louis. His clinical interests include caring for patients with retinal detachment, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears, macular hole, and retinal vein occlusion. He is also committed to advancing the field through research interests in uveitis/ocular inflammation, complex retinal detachment, and vitreoretinal surgical techniques and instrumentation.

Dr. Maria Castaños is a medical retina specialist dedicated to diagnosing and treating conditions that affect the macula and retina. She earned her MD at Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) and completed an ophthalmology residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, followed by a fellowship in medical retina at the same institution. Her background also includes a retinal imaging research fellowship, which informs her evidence-based approach and careful use of advanced diagnostics. At Shane Retina, Dr. Castaños cares for adults with age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusions, uveitis, and other complex retinal diseases. She emphasizes clear communication, thoughtful treatment planning, and close coordination with referring doctors.
