Dr. Emily Eton is a board-certified ophthalmologist and vitreoretinal surgeon who cares for the full spectrum of medical and surgical retina conditions in both adults and children. She specializes in complex retinal detachment repair, macular surgery, scleral-fixated intraocular lenses, and advanced treatments for diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal vascular disease.
She has particular expertise in pediatric retina, including retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), familial exudative vitreoretinopathy (FEVR), Coats’ disease, persistent fetal vasculature (PFV), and pediatric ocular trauma. Her research focuses on improving outcomes in pediatric retinal disease and strengthening ROP care delivery through standardized best practices and thoughtful training.
