Dr. Emily Shepherd

Dr. Emily Anne Shepherd is a retina specialist at Illinois Retina Associates, providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for retinal conditions. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Rush University and then pursued advanced training through a surgical retina fellowship with Illinois Retina Associates and Rush University. Dr. Shepherd is particularly interested in retinopathy of prematurity and clinical chart review, and she has been involved in multiple clinical research projects, presenting her work at local and national meetings.

Dr. Shepherd joined Illinois Retina Associates in 2024 and currently sees patients at the Loop, Lincoln Park, and Oak Park offices. She is committed to offering personalized, cutting-edge retina care to her patients in the Chicago area.
