About Me
Dr. Dianne Barrett is a vitreoretinal specialist at San Antonio Eye Center dedicated to helping patients protect, preserve, and restore sight affected by diseases of the retina and vitreous. Born in Montego Bay, Jamaica, she later grew up in South Florida and graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University with honors in Biology. She earned her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, then completed an internal medicine internship at Baylor College of Medicine and an ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas at Houston – McGovern Medical School. She went on to advanced fellowship training in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at Loma Linda University and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Barrett cares for a full range of retinal conditions and tailors care plans to each person’s needs—whether that involves office-based injections, laser therapy, or microsurgery. She has presented and published research in both basic science and clinical ophthalmology, and she is excited to serve patients across San Antonio with compassionate, timely retina care.
