About Me
Dr. Dara Baker is a vitreoretinal surgery fellow at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She cares for patients with medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous, bringing a detail-oriented approach to diagnosis and treatment planning. Her clinical interests include macular disorders, diabetic eye disease, and complex retinal detachments. Dr. Baker earned her medical degree at the George Washington University School of Medicine and completed ophthalmology residency training at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary in Chicago. She is completing a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at UW–Madison, where she participates in cutting-edge surgical training and multidisciplinary care. Patients appreciate her clear explanations, thoughtful follow-up, and collaboration with referring eye-care providers. She is committed to helping each person understand their condition and the role of medications, lasers, and surgery in preserving vision and quality of life.
