Dr. Daniel Choi

Dr. Daniel Y. Choi is a fellowship-trained cataract and glaucoma specialist who offers the full spectrum of medical, laser, and surgical care. He is known for clear communication, meticulous surgical technique, and a collaborative style that helps patients choose the treatment that fits their eyes and their lives. Dr. Choi performs advanced cataract surgery—including premium lens options—and modern glaucoma procedures to reduce eye-pressure safely and sustainably.

A California native, Dr. Choi earned his undergraduate degree and medical degree at UCLA, completed internship at Cedars-Sinai, and trained in ophthalmology at Stanford University, where he served as Chief Resident. He returned to UCLA’s Stein Eye Institute for fellowship in glaucoma and continues to teach as an adjunct clinical assistant professor while caring for patients in the Central Valley. Whether managing routine conditions or complex combined cases, he focuses on evidence-based care, thoughtful follow-up, and long-term vision preservation.
