Dr. Cindy Ung

Dr. Cindy Ung is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in retinal and vitreous surgery. She provides comprehensive medical and surgical care for a wide range of retinal conditions, including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachment. Dr. Ung is skilled in advanced procedures such as vitrectomy and retinal laser surgery, aiming to preserve and restore vision for her patients.

Dr. Ung completed her medical degree at Stanford University School of Medicine. She then undertook an internal medicine internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, followed by an ophthalmology residency and a retinal surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. She joined the Southern California Permanente Medical Group in 2024 and sees patients at Kaiser Permanente offices in Mission Viejo and Tustin, offering both in-person and telehealth visits.
