About Me
Dr. Christopher Engelman is an ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma and cataracts. He provides advanced treatments including minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), glaucoma drainage implants, and trabeculectomy, as well as cataract surgery. With decades of experience, Dr. Engelman combines clinical expertise with a patient-focused approach to deliver outstanding results.
Dr. Engelman is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and serves as an Assistant Professor (affiliated) of Ophthalmology at Stanford University School of Medicine, where he mentors resident physicians in cataract surgery and glaucoma management. He is actively involved in research and collaborates with medical technology companies to develop innovative treatments for cataracts and glaucoma.
Education: Dr. Engelman graduated with High Distinction from U.C. Berkeley, earned his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha), completed an ophthalmology residency at Stanford University, and a glaucoma fellowship at the Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon.
