About Me

Dr. Christopher Donovan is a cornea, external disease, and refractive specialist who provides advanced medical and surgical care for the front of the eye. He performs cataract surgery—including laser-assisted procedures—and laser vision correction (LASIK/PRK), and he treats complex corneal disorders. His surgical expertise includes modern corneal transplantation techniques such as penetrating keratoplasty (PKP), endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK and DMEK), and deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK). He also manages ocular surface neoplasia with topical chemotherapy and treats infectious keratitis and other corneal conditions. Dr. Donovan earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University after undergraduate studies at Cornell University. He completed a transitional year at Henry Ford Hospital, an ophthalmology residency at the University of South Florida—where he served as chief resident—and a two-year combined clinical and research fellowship in cornea and external disease at the University of South Florida. He is committed to evidence-based care and to helping patients choose the safest, most effective path to clearer, more comfortable vision.
