About Me
Dr. Christopher Donovan is a cornea, external disease, and refractive specialist providing advanced medical and surgical care for the front of the eye. He performs cataract surgery, including laser-assisted procedures, and laser vision correction such as LASIK and PRK. He treats complex corneal disorders and is proficient in modern corneal transplantation techniques like penetrating keratoplasty (PKP), endothelial keratoplasty (DSAEK and DMEK), and deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty (DALK). He also manages ocular surface neoplasia with topical chemotherapy and treats infectious keratitis.
Dr. Donovan earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University cum laude and his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University. He completed a transitional year at Henry Ford Hospital, an ophthalmology residency at the University of South Florida where he served as chief resident, and a two-year combined clinical and research fellowship in cornea and external disease at the University of South Florida. His research has focused on corneal infections, wound healing, and crosslinking.
