About Me
Dr. Charles J. Kaiser is an ophthalmologist at the Center for Excellence in Eye Care in Miami, Florida. He completed his medical training at the University of Miami School of Medicine and went on to an internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital, followed by a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Louisville, where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Kaiser specializes in small incision and laser cataract surgery, pterygium surgery, and minimally-invasive glaucoma surgery. He also performs refractive surgery including custom iLASIK and PRK, as well as refractive lens exchange with standard and multifocal implants. He has a special interest in dry eye disease and utilizes the Lipiflow treatment system. Dr. Kaiser is involved in research on corneal collagen cross-linking for keratoconus and post-LASIK ectasia.
He serves on staff at Baptist Hospital, West Kendall Baptist Hospital, Jackson South Community Hospital, and HCA-Kendall Hospital, and is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Herbert Wertheim FIU College of Medicine. Dr. Kaiser is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He donates his services to the Open Door Clinic and the Good News Center.
