Born in Havana and raised in Miami, he completed his ophthalmology training at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is an active staff member at Baptist Hospital and a voluntary Assistant Professor at the University of Miami’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute.
