About Me
Dr. Charles Birnbach is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous. He provides care for conditions such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachment, epiretinal membrane, and macular hole. He sees patients at Pacific Northwest Retina locations in Seattle and Bellevue.
Dr. Birnbach earned his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency and a two-year fellowship in retina and vitreous at the University of Washington. He has served as president of the Washington Academy of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and is on the board of the Washington Ambulatory Surgery Center Association. He also participates in clinical trials for retinal disorders.
