About Me
Dr. S. Tammy Hsu is a vitreoretinal surgeon who cares for both adult and pediatric patients with diseases of the retina and vitreous. She completed medical school, residency, and a vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at the Duke Eye Center, where she trained in the latest surgical techniques and technologies and developed a strong foundation in compassionate, detail-oriented care. Dr. Hsu diagnoses and treats age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detachments, epiretinal membranes, macular holes, retinal vein occlusions, dislocated intraocular lenses, flashes and floaters, and selected pediatric retinal diseases such as Stickler syndrome and Coats disease. She pairs personalized, evidence-based treatment with clear communication so patients understand their options and feel confident at every step.
