Dr. Brian Groat

Dr. Brian Groat is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract, cornea, and anterior segment disease. He treats a range of eye conditions including cataracts, glaucoma, and dry eye, and performs advanced surgical procedures such as cataract surgery, corneal transplant, and Descemet's Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty (DSEK). Dr. Groat also offers presbyopia- and astigmatism-correcting lens surgery and laser treatment for floaters.

Dr. Groat's unique background includes service as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force, where he deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, Storm Eye Institute, and has extensive experience in both routine and complex eye care.
