Dr. Mary Hoffman

Dr. Mary Hoffman is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 25 years of experience specializing in comprehensive eye care. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and provides care for a wide range of eye conditions including glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, and dry eye syndrome.

Dr. Hoffman completed her undergraduate degree in chemistry at the University of North Carolina and earned her medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She then returned to UNC for her ophthalmology residency, finishing in 1994. Following residency, she spent 24 years practicing as a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon in Chicago before joining Wilmington Eye in 2019.

Dr. Hoffman is known for taking time with her patients and addressing their concerns in a thorough, comfortable manner. Her patients appreciate her patient-oriented approach and the clear explanations she provides during visits.
