Meet Dr. Kathleen C Leone

Dr. Kathleen Leone is a board-certified ophthalmic surgeon who has been practicing in Wilmington since 1998. She specializes in cataract and refractive surgery, including bladeless cataract surgery and LASIK. Dr. Leone was the first surgeon in Wilmington to introduce laser-assisted cataract surgery and has extensive experience with advanced intraocular lens technology.

Dr. Leone graduated cum laude from Georgetown University School of Medicine and served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, where she provided care at Bethesda Naval Hospital, Guam Naval Hospital, and Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital. She began performing refractive surgery in 1995 and holds certifications in iLASIK and Visian ICL implantable Collamer lens insertion.

In her practice, Dr. Leone focuses on providing patients with clear vision and reducing dependence on glasses and contact lenses. She performs cataract and refractive surgeries at Wilmington Eye Surgery Center and sees patients at the practice's main office in Wilmington.
