About Me
Arpine Barsegian, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist providing personalized, detail-oriented care in general ophthalmology and glaucoma. In addition to comprehensive medical and surgical eye care—including pterygium removal and cataract surgery—she offers the full spectrum of glaucoma treatment, from medications and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) to trabeculectomy and tube shunt procedures.
Dr. Barsegian earned acceptance to the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education’s accelerated BS/MD program, received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and completed ophthalmology residency at SUNY Downstate. She then pursued two subspecialty fellowships at UCLA: cornea & external disease at the Doheny Eye Institute and glaucoma at the Stein Eye Institute. She has co-authored book chapters, published in peer-reviewed journals, and presented at numerous medical meetings. Fluent in Armenian, Russian, and Spanish, Dr. Barsegian enjoys collaborating with patients and families to choose treatments that fit their goals and lifestyles while maintaining the highest standards of safety and vision care.
