About Me
Dr. Soroosh Behshad is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataract, and refractive surgery. His practice spans femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery with advanced lens options, complex corneal transplantation, and vision-correcting procedures such as LASIK, PRK, and ICL implantation. He also cares for challenging ocular surface disease and dry eye, and manages keratoconus with modern collagen crosslinking techniques. Patients value his calm manner, thorough counseling, and focus on achieving excellent visual outcomes. Dr. Behshad earned his MD at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and completed ophthalmology residency at Tulane University, where he served as chief resident. He then completed fellowship training in cornea, refractive, and anterior segment surgery at the University of California, Irvine. He also holds a master’s degree in public health policy and healthcare management from the University of Arizona. Active in global ophthalmology, he has helped develop sustainable eye-care programs and train surgeons internationally, work for which he was recognized by the Kingdom of Jordan in 2020. His clinical interests include innovative corneal surgery, advanced cataract techniques, and management of complex lens complications.
