About Me

Angela Gauthier, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Director of the Cornea Service at Glaucoma-Cataract Consultants. A Maryland native, she graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College with an AB in Neuroscience, earned her medical degree from Yale School of Medicine, and completed ophthalmology residency and a Cornea and External Disease fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. She joined the practice in 2023.

Dr. Gauthier diagnoses and treats a wide range of corneal and lens conditions, from refractive errors and cataracts to Fuchs dystrophy and keratoconus. She offers refractive surgery (LASIK/PRK), cataract surgery with standard and premium lenses, IOL exchanges, and iris or scleral-fixated lens solutions. She is experienced with modern corneal transplantation techniques, including DMEK, DSAEK, and PKP, and is committed to individualized care that prioritizes safety, clarity of vision, and long-term ocular health.
