Dr. Allison Jarstad

I’m Dr. Allison Jarstad, a dual fellowship-trained ophthalmologist who is passionate about restoring and protecting vision through advanced surgical care and compassionate, individualized treatment. I specialize in cataract surgery, corneal transplantation, and refractive procedures including LASIK, PRK, and EVO ICL, proudly serving patients across Medford, Ashland, Grants Pass, and the Rogue Valley.

My training includes two competitive surgical fellowships — the first in Cornea, Refractive, and Anterior Segment Surgery at UC Irvine, and the second in Global Ophthalmology at Stanford University. This unique combination allows me to offer both cutting-edge surgical techniques and the cultural sensitivity and adaptability needed to care for patients in all walks of life. I earned my medical degree from Pacific Northwest University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Yakima, Washington, where I was honored as Medical Student of the Year.

I then completed my ophthalmology residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. Prior to medical school, I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Utah, where I was a scholar athlete in track and field. In addition to my clinical work in Southern Oregon, I am deeply committed to humanitarian eye care. I’ve performed sight-restoring cataract and corneal transplant surgeries in underserved communities across the globe.
