Dr. Alice Shen

Dr. Alice Shen is a fellowship-trained cornea and external disease specialist who also provides comprehensive ophthalmic care. She values compassionate, patient-centered communication and believes that good decisions start with clear explanations tailored to each person’s symptoms, goals, and lifestyle. Whether managing dry eye or planning surgery, she partners closely with patients to create practical, evidence-based plans that protect sight and quality of life.

Raised in the Bay Area, Dr. Shen completed her undergraduate studies at Washington University in St. Louis and earned her MD at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. She returned to California for ophthalmology residency at LAC+USC Roski Eye Institute and completed a cornea and external disease fellowship at Stanford University. At Kaiser Permanente Daly City, she offers advanced corneal care, cataract surgery, and laser procedures with an emphasis on comfort, safety, and long-term results.
