Dr. Matilda Chan

Dr. Matilda Chan is an ophthalmologist specializing in infectious and inflammatory diseases of the ocular surface and eyelids. She provides care for adults with conditions such as dry eye syndrome, blepharitis, meibomian gland dysfunction, Sjögren's syndrome, and corneal ulcers. Her clinical focus is on the cornea and external diseases, aiming to improve vision and comfort for patients with these complex conditions.

In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Chan is actively involved in research to understand and treat corneal blindness. She investigates the causes of corneal opacification and Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy, working to develop new therapeutic approaches. Her background includes a medical degree and a PhD in biochemistry, which informs her comprehensive approach to both patient care and scientific inquiry.
