Dr. Abou Cham

Dr. Abou Cham is an ophthalmologist with Carle Health in Danville, Illinois, providing comprehensive eye care for adults. He helps patients protect their vision and stay independent, from routine evaluations to advanced surgical care. He also helped expand ophthalmology services in Danville so patients can receive needed eye care closer to home.

A key focus of his work is cataract care, including refractive cataract surgery with toric and multifocal intraocular lens (IOL) implants and premium lens options such as the PanOptix trifocal lens. He performs eyelid surgery and uses ophthalmic laser treatment for conditions including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and posterior capsular opacification (often called a 'secondary cataract').
