About Me
Dr. Zachary Richardson is a glaucoma and cataract surgeon at Vantage Eye Center who helps adults protect and restore their sight with modern, individualized care. He joined the practice in 2019 and treats the full spectrum of glaucoma, from early disease to complex cases requiring surgery. Patients appreciate his clear explanations and steady, collaborative style.Dr. Richardson earned a BS in biology from the University of California, Irvine and his medical degree from Georgetown University. He completed ophthalmology residency training at New York University Langone and Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospitals, then pursued fellowship training in glaucoma at Emory University. Before moving to the Central Coast, he served as a clinical instructor at NYU and Bellevue Hospitals in New York City and was recognized with a Teacher of the Year award in 2018–2019. Outside of clinic, he enjoys videography, traveling, music, hiking and camping.At Vantage, Dr. Richardson offers cataract surgery, advanced lens options, and a wide range of laser and surgical treatments for glaucoma, working closely with patients to safeguard their vision for the long term.
