Dr. Xuejing Chen

Dr. Xuejing Chen is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in the medical and surgical management of vitreoretinal disease. She cares for patients with retinal vascular conditions, diabetic retinopathy, epiretinal membranes, macular holes, retinal detachments, macular degeneration, ocular trauma, posterior uveitis, and inherited retinal dystrophies. Her approach emphasizes careful diagnosis, thoughtful use of modern ocular imaging, and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s goals and vision needs.

After earning her medical degree from Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Chen completed an ophthalmology residency at the Stein Eye Institute at the University of California Los Angeles and a vitreoretinal fellowship at Tufts Medical Center and the Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. She also has interests in medical technology and innovations, surgical outcomes, and global health, and aims to provide compassionate care using the most advanced treatments available.
