About Me
Dr. William Foulsham is a vitreoretinal surgeon specializing in medical and surgical diseases of the retina. He earned his medical degree from the University of Glasgow and completed a PhD at University College London. After a postdoctoral fellowship in ocular immunology at the Schepens Eye Research Institute (Harvard Medical School), he finished ophthalmology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College, where he received multiple research and housestaff awards. He then completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, supported by a Heed Fellowship and the Robert Brockhurst Academic Development Award.
Dr. Foulsham treats macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy and performs complex retinal surgery, including repair of retinal detachment, epiretinal membrane, and macular holes. His research interests include ocular immunology, retinal surgery techniques, and advanced imaging, and he has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications.
