Dr. Yifan Lu

Dr. Yifan Lu is a retina specialist dedicated to diagnosing and treating both common and complex retinal diseases. Her clinical interests include macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusions, macular telangiectasia, central serous retinopathy, retinal tears and detachments, and challenging uveitis and inherited retinal conditions. She uses advanced multimodal imaging and current laser and pharmacologic therapies to deliver precise, timely care and strives to explain findings clearly so patients understand their options at every step.

Dr. Lu earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and completed both her ophthalmology residency and a Medical Retina fellowship at Massachusetts Eye and Ear. Before medical training she graduated summa cum laude from the University of Washington with a degree in biochemistry. As a clinician-scientist, she has authored more than twenty peer-reviewed publications and presented at national and international meetings. Dr. Lu’s practice philosophy blends meticulous diagnostics with compassionate, individualized treatment plans.
