About Me
Dr. Isaac Bleicher is an ophthalmologist who recently completed his residency and served as Chief Resident at Harvard Medical School Department of Ophthalmology. He earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received the Deans Award and Senior Merit Scholarship. Dr. Bleicher has participated in community eye screenings at Special Olympics events and local health fairs.
His research focuses on advancing the diagnosis and treatment of retinal conditions through imaging technology and artificial intelligence. He has conducted extensive work in optical coherence tomography (OCT), including developing 3D visualizations for real-time surgical guidance, studying open globe injuries, central serous chorioretinopathy, diabetic retinopathy, Wagner’s syndrome, and age-related macular degeneration. Dr. Bleicher uses wide-field OCT angiography and AI to analyze retinal and choroidal structures.
Dr. Bleicher's research has been published in leading journals such as Ophthalmology, Journal of Pediatrics, and Translational Vision Science and Technology. He has presented his findings at national and international conferences, including the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology Annual Meeting and the American Society of Retina Surgeons. He also holds a U.S. patent for a system that enhances contrast in 3D images for micro-surgical applications.
