Dr. William Hipps

Dr. W. Michael Hipps is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Texas Eye Institute, where he provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages. With a background in mechanical engineering and experience designing minimally invasive surgical instruments, he brings a unique perspective to his surgical practice. He has a special interest in cataract and refractive surgery and utilizes advanced technology such as ReSTOR lens implants to help improve vision.

He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Baylor College of Medicine and earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Hipps is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Medical Association. He sees patients at multiple Texas Eye Institute locations, including Southwest Houston, Southeast Houston, Sugar Land, and Katy.
