Dr. Vasavi Malineni

Dr. Vasavi Malineni is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in anterior segment surgeries, including cataract and glaucoma procedures. She performs advanced femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery and offers premium lens implants such as Toric, multifocal, and extended depth of focus (EDOF) lenses. Dr. Malineni is trained on the Catalys Precision Laser System and ORA, allowing her to provide precise, customized care for patients with cataracts and glaucoma.

Dr. Malineni earned her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, graduating cum laude with honors and membership in Phi Beta Kappa. She completed both medical school and her ophthalmology residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. She joined Texas Eye Institute in August 2004 and is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Texas Medical Association. Dr. Malineni sees patients at the practice's Southwest Houston and Southeast Houston locations.
