Dr. Victor Neamtu

Dr. Victor Neamtu is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery at River City Retina Consultants. He completed his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Kentucky, followed by an internship in General Medicine at the University of Louisville, an ophthalmology residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo, and a vitreoretinal diseases and surgery fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Neamtu's clinical interests include diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal detachment, and ocular trauma. He is a Principal Investigator in collaboration with Butchertown Clinical Trials, focusing on studies related to macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease. Additionally, he volunteers as Gratis Faculty at the University of Louisville.

In his spare time, Dr. Neamtu enjoys playing soccer, basketball, running, tennis, and martial arts, as well as spending time with his two young sons.
