About Me
Dr. Thomas Margolis is a vitreoretinal specialist with 30 years of experience in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of retinal and vitreous diseases. He joined Mid Atlantic Retina in 2025 following the merger of his previous practice, Retinal and Ophthalmic Consultants, PC, and provides care at locations in New Jersey including Northfield.
Dr. Margolis is actively involved in clinical research and has served as an investigator in over 40 clinical trials for various retinal conditions. He has also authored numerous book chapters and articles on vitreoretinal diseases. He is a member of the American Society of Retinal Specialists, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and the Retina Society of New Jersey.
Dr. Margolis graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Medical School and completed his ophthalmology residency at Wills Eye Hospital, followed by a fellowship in vitreoretinal disease at New England Eye Center, Tufts University School of Medicine.
