Dr. Susan Burden

Dr. Burden is a comprehensive ophthalmologist at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, providing care for a broad range of eye conditions. She treats adults and offers in-person visits at her Winston-Salem and Bermuda Run locations. Her expertise includes the diagnosis and management of cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, macular degeneration, blepharitis, and other eyelid conditions. Dr. Burden is also experienced in surgical procedures such as cataract surgery and blepharoplasty.

She completed her medical training at the University of Michigan, where she also finished her ophthalmology residency, and undertook a transitional internship at Oakwood Hospital. Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Burden serves as an Associate Professor and Director of Ophthalmology at Wake Forest Baptist Health.
