About Me
Dr. Stephen Tait is an ophthalmologist specializing in the comprehensive surgical and medical treatment of eye diseases. He takes time with patients to explain their conditions and treatment options. His expertise includes cataracts, refractive surgeries such as LASIK, macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic eye care, and eyelid surgery. With over two decades of experience, he has performed thousands of procedures using advanced techniques.
Dr. Tait earned his medical degree and PhD from Michigan State University and completed his ophthalmology residency at William Beaumont Hospital. He is board certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. His research on wet macular degeneration contributed to the development of current treatments and he participated in FDA trials for intravitreal injections. He has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Regional Top Doctor.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Tait has volunteered on humanitarian missions, performing cataract surgeries for underserved patients in Ecuador. He is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate eye care to his patients.
