Dr. Stephen Busch

Dr. Stephen M. Busch is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who established Chesterfield Ophthalmology in 1991 and continues to practice as a solo practitioner. He has served as past chief of the medical staff at Stony Point Surgery Center in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Busch’s areas of expertise include cataract surgery, refraction surgery for nearsightedness and astigmatism, and the treatment of a wide range of eye conditions.

Dr. Busch believes that a thorough understanding of medical and surgical problems enables patients to make informed choices. His practice is centered on educating patients while providing safe, advanced medical and surgical care. Dr. Busch specializes in cataract surgery with lens implantation, laser and glaucoma surgery, blepharoplasty for cosmetic and medical reasons, and the treatment of conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, dry eye, and eye infections. He also performs procedures including iridotomy, tear duct repair, and removal of growths on the eyelid or conjunctiva.
