Dr. David Bowman

Dr. David M. Bowman is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Richmond Eye Associates. He specializes in small incision cataract extraction with lens implant, glaucoma, laser surgery, macular degeneration, and the diagnosis and treatment of diabetic eye diseases. He has a particular interest in advanced technology intraocular lenses to help reduce patients' dependence on glasses after cataract surgery. Dr. Bowman performs routine comprehensive eye examinations as well as the management of ocular disease.

Dr. Bowman is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the Virginia Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He serves as managing partner of Richmond Eye Associates and operates at the Stony Point Surgery Center. Dr. Bowman has been a multi-year winner of the MEDARVA Patient Choice Award.

Dr. Bowman sees patients at the practice's Innsbrook and Midlothian offices in the Richmond area.
