Dr. Shirah Schwartz-Jacobs

Dr. Shirah Schwartz‑Jacobs is a board‑certified and fellowship‑trained pediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus surgeon. She completed her medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by an internship in medicine at North Shore University Hospital and a three‑year ophthalmology residency at North Shore Long‑Island Jewish Hospital, where she served as chief resident. Her training culminated in a pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, one of the nation’s top programs for this subspecialty.

Dr. Schwartz‑Jacobs has a particular interest in the treatment of capillary hemangiomas, myopia, and retinopathy of prematurity. She specializes in the most up‑to‑date modalities for managing pediatric eye conditions and adult strabismus, and she is affiliated with New York Langone Medical Center, New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, and Good Samaritan Hospital. Her work has been recognized with a Rising Star selection in the New York Times Super Doctor publication.
