Dr. Yoon Lee

Dr. Yoon Lee is a board-certified pediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus surgeon in New York City. She cares for children and adults with eye alignment disorders as well as pediatric eye conditions such as amblyopia and congenital cataracts. Dr. Lee is known for warm, family-centered communication and clear surgical planning, including the use of adjustable and non-adjustable sutures when appropriate. She performs most pediatric eye surgery within the NYU Medical Center system and works closely with families to ensure smooth pre- and postoperative care.

Dr. Lee studied biomedical engineering at Northwestern University and graduated from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She completed an ophthalmology residency at UCLA and a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She has authored peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters and regularly presents at national meetings in her subspecialty.
