Dr. Anna Escuder

Dr. Anna Escuder is a board certified pediatric ophthalmologist and strabismus surgeon with a private practice in New York City. She specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of eye alignment disorders in children and adults, focusing on conditions like crossed eyes and lazy eye.

She graduated from University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Biology and Hispanic Studies, before earning her M.D from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. Following an internship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Dr. Escuder completed her ophthalmology residency training at New York University and served as Chief Resident. She completed her fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus at Boston Children’s Hospital and Massachusetts Eye and Ear affiliated with Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Escuder regularly employs adjustable and non-adjustable sutures for her patients requiring strabismus surgery. She has authored articles and presented at national meetings, contributing to the field of pediatric eye care.
