Meet Dr. Scott Markham
About Me
Dr. Scott Markham, known as "Dr. Scott," is a founding partner of M&M Eye Institute and serves as Medical Director for the Prescott Vision & Eye Surgery Center and Arizona Institute of Eye Surgery. He specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of eye diseases, with particular expertise in advanced refractive cataract surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and eyelid surgery. Dr. Markham has performed over 10,000 cataract surgeries throughout his career.
Dr. Markham received his osteopathic medical degree from Midwestern University and completed a general surgery residency at the University of New Mexico followed by an ophthalmology residency at Michigan State University, where he served as chief resident. He is deeply involved in medical innovation, having co-founded companies that develop ophthalmic implants and educational software for patients. He also leads an annual humanitarian mission to provide eye care in Mexico.
Raised in Prescott, Dr. Markham is committed to continuing his father's legacy at M&M Eye Institute. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys spending time with his family, flying as a private pilot, golfing, and traveling.
